Find out more about underground culture

Navigate through our website to find out more about the underground culture of interesting cities. In Cities you'll find a list of cities. By clicking on a specific city, you'll find all the contributions made to that city by our members. Looking for interesting people involved in culture and arts? Click on Guides to find a map of all the guides we have. To see their guidepage (their personal page as a guide), click on a red dot in the map.

Join our network

Become a member and get your own Travel profile. This profile enables you to contact guides, comment on others, create your own contributions, add contacts and become a guide yourself. You'll find your profile by clicking on your name in the upper left corner after logging in.

Our network
The Mediamatic Travel network is open to everybody. Feel free to add people you want to know more about to your contact list by searching their name in search or finding them by location/interest. Comment on their contributions or make your own suggestions.

Your contributions
After logging in, go to New contribution to add your own favourites on the Mediamatic Travel website. Share them by adding a location (use +address) to every contribution (otherwise they will not show in the citypage). Link your contributions with keywords and make them appealing. In My contributions you'll find all contributions you have made.

Contact a guide.

You can contact a guide by using the blue 'Be my guide' button underneath every guide page. Tell them about your travel plans and the guide will contact you to help you with planning your trip.

The online service is free. If you decide to meet the guide in real life for a personal consultation, we ask you to pay the guide € 45 for the first hour of consultation, on the spot. In return, you should expect an extensive insight into the most exclusive events, scenes and personalities in the Arts and Culture of the city you are visiting.

The € 45 fee is not negotiable. Should the guide feel otherwise about financial compensation, they will let you know. Any further dealings are to be negotiated between you and your guide.

Become a guide.

To become a guide, you need to have a guide page next to your regular travel profile. In New Contribution you can acquire a guide page. This page will contain more information on you as a guide, what you'd like to show visitors and why they should contact you. Add your previously made contributions to your guide page and keep it up to date. Link your city to your guide page (use +about city) to make it visible in Guides. Read more tips here.
